We gather our typewriters, some free stationery and gather people together to write letters together. The event is a nice mix of typewriters clacking and conversations about paper, stamps, and letters. Our favorite socialites are the young ones who get that spark of joy on their face the first time they use a typewriter. Put your Jumble skills to test in this new putting game from Jumble author David L. Hoyt. Players putt to letters on a large floor mat. Once all putts have been taken, players unscramble their letters into a word. The longer the word, the more points you get! We'll have PGA Pro Don Parker on-site to help with your putting skills, AND David will be signing Jumble books.

Poets with Class is a teaching and touring ensemble from Chicago Poetry Center. They enter classrooms and grace festival stages alike with slam poetry inspired workshops and interactive performances!  To celebrate Chicago's legacy of being the birthplace of slam poetry, Poets with Class will host a Chicago-style poetry slam and open mic at 2019 Printers Row Lit Fest!
