Yohance Lacour is a writer from the South Side, committed to telling stories of Black Chicago from the ground. After serving a decade-long sentence in federal prison, he returned home in 2017 to resume his tradition of Black storytelling, hosting the award winning podcast, You Didn’t See Nothin, with the Invisible Institute. He currently facilitates workshops for system-impacted youth and runs the luxury sneaker label YJL. His artwork is in the permanent collection of several museums including the Dubuque Museum of Art and the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History and Culture.
