Wenguang Huang is a Chicago-based writer and translator. A former staff member of The New York Times Beijing Bureau, Huang is the author of The Little Red Guard, a memoir and A Death in the Lucky Holiday Hotel, an insider’s take on a political scandal that involved the murder of a British businessman in China.
A recipient of the 2007 PEN Translation Fund Award, Huang has translated many contemporary Chinese non-fiction works, including Liao Yiwu’s Corpse Walker and God is Red and Yan Xianhui’s Women in Shanghai. He currently serves as editor in chief of Rotary Magazine.
