Thea Goodman is a novelist, poet and educator in Chicago. Her novel about a marital crisis, The Sunshine When She’s Gone, appeared in 2013 with Henry Holt. The Invented Mother, poems was a finalist in the New Women’s Voices Competition 2022 and was published by Finishing Line Press in 2023. She’s at work on a collection of linked short stories.
