A community organizer, Renaldo Hudson (he/him) is the director of Education at Illinois Prison Project. After being sentenced to death row and while serving 37 years in prison, Hudson developed and implemented groundbreaking programs inside the Department of Corrections, including the prison newspaper Stateville Speaks and the Building Block Program, in the Illinois Department of Corrections. Hudson’s work and life have been featured in such media outlets as the BBC, Chicago Tribune, Chicago Magazine, and others. Renaldo sits on the board of JHA/Real Youth Initiative among others.
