Rebecca Makkai is the author of The Hundred-Year House, The Borrower, Music for Wartime and The Great Believers, which was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize and the National Book Award, and received the ALA Carnegie Medal and the LA Times Book Prize. Makkai is Artistic Director of StoryStudio Chicago.
Rosellen Brown’s newest novel is The Lake on Fire. Her ten other books include the best-selling novel Before and After, Civil Wars and Tender Mercies; three books of poetry and a collection of stories, Street Games. She teaches at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
Donna Seaman is an editor for Booklist, a member of the American Writers Museum’s Content Leadership Team, and a recipient of the Studs Terkel Humanities Service Award and the Louis Shores Award for excellence in book reviewing. Seaman is the author of Identity Unknown: Rediscovering Seven American Women Artists.
