Michelle Duster, Ida B. the Queen: The Extraordinary Life and Legacy of Ida B. Wells in conversation with Bernard Turner

Michelle Duster is an author, professor, and public historian. She has written, edited, or contributed to sixteen books including Tate and His Historic Dream, which she co-wrote with Bernard C. Turner.  Her most recent, about her paternal great-grandmother, is Ida B. the Queen: The Extraordinary Life and Legacy of Ida B. Wells.

Bernard Turner is an author/publisher at Highlights of Chicago Press. His books include A New View of Bronzeville; Tate and His Historic Dream and Teacher Activity Guide, Exploring Our History with Michelle Duster; Our Chicago People and Places. Bernard is the executive director of Black Metropolis National Heritage Area Commission and contributor at Black History 365.
