Leslé is a Blaxican poet, activist, and author. In her poetry and personal life, she helps people find their voices through the arts and helps marginalized communities stand in the gaps that social, economic and racial inequalities create. Her first Children’s book, Brown Girl, Brown Girl based on her viral poem about Vice President Kamala Harris, was released in November of 2024, followed by My Brown Boy in January 2026. Her forthcoming book, If You Raise Free Daughters, based on her poem that was read by Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson, is set for release in 2027.
