My name is Lauren Margolin and as you probably know, because you’re here, I’m an avid reader. I get great joy in recommending books and sharing my love for the written word with other readers. I grew up in Potomac, Maryland, went to Indiana University, and for a few exciting years lived and worked in Chicago. Later, my husband and I moved to the northern suburbs of Chicago, where we planted our roots. We have two incredible kids, a daughter (27) and son (24). I am blessed to have such an amazing family. Besides reading, I lead book discussion groups, interview authors, moderate author panels and my favorite – speak about all things bookish for libraries, charities, civic groups and more. I volunteer whenever I can, write essays as personal therapy, needlepoint, cook, play canasta and pickleball, and of course, walk Quincy, our empty nester dog and Owen, our pandemic puppy. Additionally, I sit on the board of directors for The Lauri S. Bauer Foundation for Sudden Loss. I hope that you enjoy perusing my site and find my reviews relatable and helpful.
