Geoff Bennett is co-anchor and co–managing editor of the PBS NewsHour, where he leads coverage of national and international affairs for one of America’s most trusted news programs. A Peabody Award–winning journalist, Bennett has covered six presidential elections and reported from the White House under three administrations. He previously served as an NBC News White House correspondent and has held roles at ABC News and NPR. A Morehouse College graduate, he is the author of Black Out Loud, a cultural history of Black comedy from vaudeville to 1990s television, exploring how humor helps shape American life and understanding.
