Eve L. Ewing, 1919 in conversation with Carey Cranston presented by American Writers Museum

Eve L. Ewing is a sociologist of education and a writer from Chicago. She is the author of 1919, Ghosts in the Schoolyard, and Electric Arches. She also writes the Ironheart series for Marvel Comics. She is an assistant professor at the University of Chicago School of Social Service Administration.


Carey is President of the American Writers Museum. Before that Carey worked in education administration and public relations. He has master’s degrees in literature and library science and has taught college writing. He discovered his love of books long ago, working his first job at Kroch’s & Brentano’s Bookstore.
