Since then, she’s written for many publications you’ve actually heard of, and her 2024 essay collection, I‘ll Just Be Five More Minutes: And Other Tales from My ADHD Brain (Hachette Books) is an Amazon Editor’s Pick for best nonfiction. Kirkus Reviews called Emily “an endearingly spiky new voice” and compared her to Samantha Irby—and also pointed out that she “isn’t always quite as funny as she thinks she is.” Emily lives in Kansas City, MO with her two sons. She is a senior staff writer at Bon Appétit and Epicurious.
