Jay Thomas is a retired professor of education at Aurora University in Illinois, where he taught learning theory, motivation, and research methods. He has published and presented internationally on gifted education and STEM education. He is a past president of the National Consortium STEM Schools. Chief: The Three Lives of Gene Locklear is his first biography. He recently presented at the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, NY, as part of the Hall’s summer author series. He has also written articles and reviews for NINE, The National Pastime, and Elysian Fields Quarterly.
