Dawn Turner is the author of the novel Majestic Hills. Her memoir, Three Girls from Bronzeville, won the inaugural Chicago Book Award and was named a Notable book by The New York Times, The Washington Post, and the Chicago Tribune, among others. A former columnist for the Chicago Tribune, Dawn has twice served as a juror for the Pulitzer Prize in commentary and has written commentary for The Washington Post, PBS NewsHour, CBS Sunday Morning News show, NPR’s Morning Edition show, and elsewhere. She has held fellowships at the Maynard Institute of Journalism Education, Harvard University and the University of Chicago.
