Gerald H. Bailey (plays Carl Sandburg in Perennial Theatre Chicago’s presentation of Bread and Salt at Lit Fest) has been involved in over 200 productions as an actor, director, music director, and composer in several professional Mid-west theatres. As an actor, he has worked with Orson Bean and Jane Withers in Bye Bye Birdie, Jane Powell in Brigadoon, and Leonard Nimoy in One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. For Perennial Theatre Chicago, he has appeared in Under Milk Wood, Spoon River Anthology, and most recently in Waiting For Lefty. He has also participated in several radio scripts for the SAG-AFTRA Chicago Radio Players. Mr. Bailey is a member of several performance unions.
