Reginald Gibbons has published 14 books of poems, the novel Sweetbitter, and 2 books of “flash fiction,” plus translations of Spanish and ancient Greek poetry and co-translations of Russian poetry. His book Creatures of a Day was a Finalist for the National Book Award. The Folger Shakespeare Library, the Illinois Arts Council, the NEA, the Texas Institute of Letters, and other sponsors have awarded several more of his books. He’s now working on a new book of poems, a book about poetry, and an autobiography. Gibbons was born in Texas, and studied at Princeton and Stanford.
