Michele Weldon is an award-winning author, journalist, TEDx speaker and emerita faculty at Northwestern University. A senior leader with The OpEd Project and editorial director at Take The Lead, her work has appeared in The New York Times, CNN, The Washington Post, TIME, Newsweek, Guardian, Chicago Tribune, USA Today, and more. Her books include I Closed My Eyes (1999), Writing To Save Your Life (2001), Everyman News (2008), Just Me and My Three Sons (2012), Escape Points (2015), and Act Like You’re Having A Good Time (2020), winner of the 2021 Independent Publishers Award. She has written chapters in seven anthologies.
