Janika Oza is the author of A History of Burning, winner of the 2024 Asian/Pacific American Award for Literature, finalist for the 2023 Governor General’s Award for Fiction, finalist for the 2024 Carol Shield’s Prize, and New York Times Editor’s Choice. She is the winner of 2022 O. Henry Award and 2020 Kenyon Review Short Fiction Award. Janika was a 2023 Bread Loaf Fiction Fellow and has received support from The Millay Colony, the Toronto Arts Council, the Ontario Arts Council, and the Canada Council for the Arts. She is an assistant editor for The Rumpus and lives in Toronto.
