Kathleen Blackburn is the author of the memoir Loose of Earth. Her writing has appeared in The New York Times, Texas Observer, Belt, Guernica, Gulf Coast, River Teeth, and elsewhere. She earned an MFA from the Ohio State University and a Ph.D. from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She is an Assistant Professor of English at SUNY New Paltz.
