Sarah Taylor is a leader in adult literacy innovation: advancing trauma-informed approaches that promote healing, belonging, and learner success. As Regional Director of Adult Education for World Relief Chicagoland, she develops and leads English language and workforce education programs that expand access to literacy for adult immigrants and refugees. Drawing on research in neurolinguistics, learning sciences, and the cognitive impacts of trauma, she designs literacy-rich learning environments where adults can build language, confidence, and opportunity. Her work is grounded in the belief that adult literacy is a powerful catalyst to promote dignity, strengthen communities, and bolster the economy.
