Paul Martinez-Pompa is a Canto Mundo fellow and currently edits for Packingtown Review. His poetry has been widely anthologized and was commissioned for a Chicago Public Radio project called “In Verse,” which aimed to explore the emotional weight of gun violence. His first book, My Kill Adore Him, (University of Notre Dame Press), was selected for the Andres Montoya Poetry Prize. His second book, Domestic Corpse, (Match Factory Editions, was a Midland Authors Awards an honoree. His forthcoming book, floor, o floor, my loyal lover, won the Moon City Press Poetry Award and will be published in Spring 2027.
