Joe Meno is a writer from Chicago. A winner of the Nelson Algren Literary Award, a Pushcart Prize, and a finalist for the Story Prize, he is the bestselling author of nine novels and two short story collections including Marvel and a Wonder, The Boy Detective Fails, and Hairstyles of the Damned. He is a professor at Columbia College Chicago. His nonfiction has appeared in The New York Times and Chicago magazine. His theatrical collaborations have included Steppenwolf Theatre, Signature Theatre, The House Theatre, and Redmoon Theatre. His plays have been staged in Chicago, Los Angeles, Washington D.C., and France.
