Jane Hseu is Professor of English at Dominican University, President of the Board of Directors of the Chicago Literary Hall of Fame, and a core organizer for Banyan: Asian American Writers Collective. She has published academic essays on Asian American and Latine literature, and personal essays on funky Chinese American names, growing up in her mother’s Shiseido cosmetics store, and mental health and creativity. Jane is a regular presenter and facilitator at such venues as the American Writers Festival, APIDA Arts Festival Chicago, and storytelling events.
