Liz McChesney is a lifelong children’s librarian, library leader, literacy champion, and lover of stories. A Chicagoan, she has spent her career helping children and families discover the joy, wonder, and power of books—from neighborhood libraries to laundromats, schools, and community spaces. Liz is the author of Wonder Libraries and Summer Matters, and she believes the best literacy moments happen when grown-ups and children read, play, laugh, and wonder together. When she’s not talking about books, Liz can usually be found walking her dog, planning an adventure, or hunting for the perfect children’s book to give someone she loves.
