Dr. Rekha S. Rajan is a USA TODAY bestselling author, audio book narrator, professor and classically trained opera singer. Her books have received starred reviews and been named to numerous state award lists. Books include Amazing Landmarks, the Disaster Squad chapter books, Can you dance like a peacock?, This is Music and This is Dance board books and That Swingin’ Sound: The Musical Friendship of Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong.

Rekha plays numerous instruments including the piano, banjo, ukulele and the mridangam (a South Indian drum). She has a doctorate in music education from Columbia University and lives in Chicago.
