Danny Postel is Politics Editor of New Lines Magazine. He is the author of the book Reading Legitimation Crisis in Tehran and co-editor of several books on the Middle East. Previously he was Assistant Director of the Center for Global Studies at Northwestern University, Senior Editor of the London-based magazine openDemocracy, a staff writer for The Chronicle of Higher Education, and Editor of The Common Review, the (late) magazine of the Great Books Foundation. He has taught international studies at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) and magazine writing at Columbia College Chicago. He lives in Rogers Park.
