Danielle Bainbridge is an assistant professor of theatre at Northwestern University. Her memoir, Dandelion, was released by Jaded Ibis Press in 2025 and her academic book Currencies of Cruelty: Slavery, Freak Shows, and the Performance Archive was published by NYU Press in 2026. She’s received residencies and scholarships from Tin House, Banff, the Adirondack Center for Writing, VONA, and Ragdale. She is a web series creator, producer, and host. Her media work has been recognized with three Daytime Emmy nominations and one NAACP Image Award nomination. She lives and loves in Chicago with her partner and two naughty cats.
