In “Surpassing Certainty: What My Twenties Taught Me,” television host, journalist and trans advocate Janet Mock explains how she came out, learned to take care of herself, and became an activist. Mock, the host of a podcast for Lenny and producer of HBO’s “The Trans List,” spoke out at the Women’s March in Washington and called for an “intersectional and inclusive” movement. She will engage in conversation with Heath Fogg Davis, author of “Beyond Trans: Does Gender Matter?” A professor of antidiscrimination law and policy at Temple University, Davis also consults with businesses, schools and organizations nationwide to help them imagine, develop and implement trans-inclusive policies.
