These four bestselling YA authors will discuss their individual paths to publications, why they love reading and writing YA, and their latest books.


Erica O'Rourke

Erica O'Rourke is the award-winning author of the Dissonance series and the Torn trilogy. Her most recent book, Resonance, was published by Simon and Schuster BFYR in July. She lives outside Chicago with her family.


Eileen Cook

Eileen Cook is a multi-published author with her novels appearing in eight different languages. Her books have been optioned for film and TV. Eileen lives in Vancouver Canada with her husband and two very naughty dogs.

E. Katherine

E. Katherine Kottaras

E. Katherine Kottaras is originally from Chicago, but now she writes and teaches in the Los Angeles area. She holds an M.A. in English from the University of California, Irvine and teaches writing and literature at Pasadena City College.


Nara Schoenberg (Moderator)

Nara Schoenberg is a lifestyles reporter at the Chicago Tribune, where she writes about relationships, health and books. She reviews children's books for Printers Row Journal.


Denise Grover Swank

Denise Grover Swank is the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of ONE PARIS SUMMER is her first contemporary YA.
