Barbara Mahany (Moderator)

Barbara Mahany, an author and journalist, was a feature writer at the Chicago Tribune for 30 years; before that, a pediatric oncology nurse at Children’s Memorial Hospital. Publishers Weekly named her first book, Slowing Time: Seeing the Sacred Outside Your Kitchen Door, among its Top 10 religion books Fall, 2014.

Michele Weldon

Michele Weldon is emerita faculty at Northwestern University where she directs The OpEd Project’s Public Voices Fellowship. Her most recent book, Escape Points: A Memoir was named to Booklist’s Editor’s Choice 2015.
